A Message From The East

From the east

Brethren,

First of all, I would like to personally congratulate all of the newly raised brothers; I appreciate your dedication while working through the degrees and would hope that you will remain active in the Lodge and come out to enjoy fellowship. Let’s remember that just because a man is a Freemason it does not mean that he is without faults. It’s our job to help our brothers through difficult times and also remember that we are all human. With elections in November I’m confident that the Lodge will be in good hands for years to come. With the holidays around the corner let’s not forget that there are many people that can’t afford a Thanksgiving dinner, so I would ask you to donate to your local food pantry.

Respectfully,

WM Jeffrey Rawley

A Message From The East

From the east

Hello Brethren,

With May and Memorial Day weekend coming to a close, I would like to take a moment to thank all who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. They sacrifice their lives every day so we can all enjoy our freedom. If you see anyone in uniform, please remember to thank them.

Within the Lodge, May was a short but busy month. Brothers were being passsed to the degree of Fellowcraft, so to those men: congratulations on your accomplishment! With that being said, June will be a busy month with the first half of the Master Mason degree on June 8th and the Gold Collar Degree on June 9th. I encourage all to come out to see the Grand Line perform the second half of the Master Mason degree. On June 13th we will be having our annual Cigar Night; everyone should come out for some laughs and fun.

While reading through some masonic quotes, I found this one to be fitting – “Growing old is no more than a bad habit which a busy man has no time to form” – Andre Maurois

Fraternally,
Jeffrey Rawley
Worshipful Master

Brother Howland Receives His 50 Year Pin

On March 23rd Bro. Ralph Howland received his 50 year pin. We were joined by brothers from his home lodge, Tompkins #471, in Staten Island. They presented Bro. Howland with his pin, a 50 year apron and declaration of achievement from the Grand Lodge of NY. Congratulations to Brother Howland on this great accomplishment.
