Brethren,

I first want to thank you for electing me as Worshipful Master this year. I also want to thank Worshipful Brother Jeff Rawley for his outstanding service as Worshipful Master in 2015. He is a real motivator and did a excellent job governing the Craft this past year. The work that got done by donations alone (windows, refrigerator, toy drive) was outstanding and speaks to what the members of this Lodge are capable of accomplishing. With help from the officers in this year’s line, I know we can continue this excellent work.I would like to end with this quote from George Washington:

“It is most reverently to be wished, that the conduct of every member of the fraternity, as well as those publications that discover the principles which actuate them, may tend to convince mankind that the grand object of Masonry is to promote the happiness of the human race.”

Have a happy and healthy New Year.

Fraternally,
Gregory J. Stevens,
Worshipful Master 2016

Brethren,
First of all, I’d like to thank you for putting your trust in me as Master for the past year. There are many people who helped make this year very successful and I thank you all. We had the pleasure of making many good Masons and I expect that this will continue. We need to continue to remind ourselves that part of being a good Mason is helping people who are less fortunate. With Christmas around the corner I would encourage everyone to support our toy drive, since so many children will go without gifts due to no fault of their own. With the elected line being installed on December 12th, I know the Lodge is in great hands and good things will follow. I encourage everyone to continue to support Freemasonry.

Fraternally,
WM Jeffrey Rawley

Brethren,

With fall coming just around the corner, I hope everyone will enjoy the nice weather before winter gets here. My year is coming to an end soon and I’ve come to find that every decision made by the Master is not going to be universally liked. With that being said, I would like to remind everyone that decisions are made for the benefit of the craft and should not be taken personally. At the end of the day, we should remain united. I would like to personally thank the people that helped with both Pirates Day and Ashes in the Alley. Being active will continue to assure the health and well being of the Lodge.

Respectfully,
WM Jeffrey Rawley

Hello Brethren,

I hope you and your families have had a wonderful summer! Time goes by very quickly, so remember to spend some quality time with your family. We accomplished some work over the summer with having new windows installed in the Lodge. They look fantastic!!

With that being said, there are some upcoming events that will be a blast. Cigar Night is happening on September 26, and a Halloween party on October 31. I am looking forward to seeing some awesome costumes. There are only three months left in the year, so let’s have some fun!

Also, please give to our ongoing food drive, if possible. There are hundreds of people in town that don’t eat on a regular basis. Remember, the measure of a man’s true character is what he would do if he would never be found out.

Fraternally,
Jeffrey Rawley,

Brethren,

It looks like spring has finally sprung! With the long winter behind us, there are many outside chores that we need to turn our attention to. I ask that each of you reach out to the elderly brothers to see if they need assistance with chores around their houses. Remember sometimes it’s tough for people to ask for help. We recently started a food drive for the food pantry in town; remember for every five cans of food we donate it will feed a hungry family for a day. In June there will be a Gold Collar Degree in our Lodge and I encourage everyone to come out, since it is an immense honor for our Lodge. Be safe and enjoy the weather!

Jeffrey Rawley,

Hello Brethren,

I recently read an article called “The Honeymoon is Over”, which was about what Masters of the Lodge go through when they are done with their duties. This made me think about our new brothers and their own honeymoon phase: initiation, passing and raising. Although it’s a great thing, having so many brothers petitioning the Lodge, it’s also important to retain these brothers. We are currently lowering the Lodge after business so they can enjoy fellowship and be involved with any programs that we are offering. I challenge any brother to break out of your comfort zone and enjoy dinner and conversation with new brothers. The more welcome they feel, the more likely they are to come out to meetings and events. It’s not about the number of members; it’s about the number of brothers who come out and enjoy fellowship.

In March, we ran our annual St. Patrick’s Day event and it was a huge success! I would like to thank all the brothers who helped and all who attended the event. Our window fundraiser is going well with only five more windows to sell! The front windows will be installed this summer. I hope to see you all at Craftsmen’s Club and regular meetings.

Fraternally Yours,

Jeffrey Rawley, Worshipful Master

Brethren,

With two months behind us, we still have much work to be completed. In February, we had an entered apprentice degree, and in March we are going to have another entered apprentice degree… In my previous message, I mentioned helping people in need. With that in mind, a fellow brother has helped me to develop a canned food drive for the local food pantry. Remember, just because someone may need help, doesn’t mean they deserve any less help than a fellow brother. Also, we will be lowering the Lodge to the entered apprentice degree so that candidates that are waiting for the fellowcraft and master mason degrees can
come to the Lodge to enjoy fellowship. I hope to see you all for a great time at the St. Patty’s Day event. Once again, thank you for your support.

Fraternally Yours,

Jeffrey Rawley, Worshipful Master

Brethren,

With one month almost behind us, let me thank you for your overwhelming support .As I said in my previous message, we have much work to complete. Famous Mason Benjamin Franklin once said, “Masonic labor is purely a labor of love. He who seeks to draw Masonic wages in gold or silver will be disappointed. The wages of a Mason are earned and paid in their dealings with another; sympathy begets sympathy, kindness begets kindness, helpfulness begets helpfulness, and these are the wages of a Mason.” With this being said, I would like to remind everyone that we are a direct representation of ours, and all, Masonic lodges. I am currently seeking avenues within the community so that people can see our true character. This will include volunteering and being more
active in town-wide activities. I challenge everyone to become more involved with their community to see the way Masons work.

Fraternally Yours,

Jeffrey Rawley, Worshipful Master
